The Australian Botanic Gardens Shepparton is a unique native garden built on a former landfill site, now transformed into a vibrant landscape.

Visitors can explore walking and cycling paths, climb Honeysuckle Rise for panoramic views, and enjoy seasonal displays of flowering acacias, grevilleas, and grasses

The Bangerang Cultural Centre in Shepparton is Australia’s first Aboriginal-owned and operated Keeping Place, preserving Indigenous art and heritage.
Located on Parkside Drive, the centre showcases priceless Aboriginal artefacts and artworks from across Australia, with a strong focus on the Bangerang people and other communities of the Murray and Goulburn Valleys. Visitors can explore life-sized dioramas, cultural displays, and historical exhibits that celebrate the world’s oldest living culture

Victoria Park Lake is a scenic and central feature of Shepparton, offering a peaceful escape and a hub for outdoor activities.
Covering 43 hectares in the heart of the city, the lake is popular for walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching, and picnics. It’s surrounded by green spaces, playgrounds, BBQ areas, and the Shepparton S-Cape skate park. The lake also hosts regular events, including the weekly Parkrun, and is adjacent to the Shepparton Art Museum and Kaiela Arts precinct

Moooving Art is a playful public art exhibition in Shepparton featuring over 90 life-sized, colorfully painted fiberglass cows.
Scattered across parks, gardens, and public spaces in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley, these cows celebrate the region’s strong dairy industry and creative spirit. Each cow is uniquely decorated by local artists and regularly updated, making the herd a dynamic and ever-changing attraction. Moooving Art began in 1999 as a festive campaign and has since become a beloved symbol of the area

Lower Goulburn National Park is a protected natural corridor along the Goulburn River, offering rich biodiversity and outdoor recreation.
Stretching from Shepparton to Echuca, this 93.1 km² linear park preserves the River Red Gum forests that line the lower Goulburn River. Established in 2010, it serves as a vital wildlife corridor and a scenic escape for camping, fishing, canoeing, and bushwalking. The park’s tranquil riverbanks and riparian vegetation contrast beautifully with surrounding farmland, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
